Chiefsplanet Hobby Shop-Collectors-Buy-Sell-Trade

This thread is dedicated to those who collect things, buy-sell-trade or want to know what something is worth.

If you've got an item, someone here knows about it or may want to own it.
Insert a photo, comment about what you have or ask your question and see what you get.

If you have an item to buy-sell or trade with other planet members...do so at your own risk and level of trust.

Do you collect pocket knives, old toys, antiques............teach me.
My suggestion is that any transaction results in a small donation to the planet.

I think the most unique thing I've acquired this winter is an old Japanese hibachi. It is fairly ornate with carved handles and the copper box is in great shape. I've done a lot of digging but haven't pinned down a value on it yet.

I cut some nice cast iron wheels off of an old safe that I'm going to build into a railroad cart style table. That should turn some coins. I'll probably use barn boards if I have enough left after another project.
accidentally huh? How tough are parts to find for those old internationals?

Dude, I would check the prices of some of those on the internet. Some of those are worth big money. Open the lesser ones but you'd be a mad man (oh wait) to open up some highly collectible one.

I would say these guys already had, both had bought them at estate sales several years ago.

One ad had been on craigslist for a month. And came down from over a thousand bucks to 200 lol

You really have to go back to the 70s Redlines for them to be worth any significant money.

Yeah, I'm a Hot Wheels nerd. Have a collection of several hundred stored away. None of them will probably ever be worth anything though, it's just stuff I've found over the years that I liked. I did have a bunch of those Redlines as a kid but they're long gone now.

Those are old? Just gave away hundreds of them that looked just like that.. Now the really old ones I found, we kept.

Hell, my first tackle box I found. Still had the flyer from Bass Pro in a bag on the bottom. Add and other info in color from 1982 in it on Plano items.

Jason is AFK playing with his cars. Did you get some track too?

Building a jump with the highest possible ramp was so much fun. I had a van that used to tape off and paint new color schemes all the time.

I got back late due to accidentally buying the truck yesterday and just missed the sale of 3 tackle boxes full of lures...one was supposedly all wooden spooks etc, sold for $118. Wish I had seen it myself....id have owned it.

I had spoken for it sight unseen, but I was trying to buy the motor. The old fellow didn't want to sell it and had apparently tip unread down a lot of people. When I saw what I had bought, I kept it straight but was pretty thrilled. I know I got s bargain, whether I decide to fix it or trade it.
