Last night's start was very concerning (much more so than the one against the Indians).

He reverted to old form, where he was throwing everything out over the plate/away, and not working inside at all.

That approach can work IF/WHEN he has his power sinker really working, and he's painting the black (93-mph sinker at the knees on the outside part of the plate is the most unhittable pitch in baseball, IMO). When it doesn't? See last night.

Hochevar, starting with the second half last year, began making a concerted effort to work inside and move the ball in and out throughout at-bats. It was wildly successful (for him).

When he's sticking to that approach, Hochevar is a good No. 3/solid No. 2 starter.

If last night becomes a trend, it's a problem. If he realizes he reverted and corrects it, he's still capable of being an effective guy.
