I have absolutely no doubt, his team would have won the SB with Smith at QB this season. None.

Oh, but that's right, you probably never watched more that two games he played for the Chiefs.

Alex Smith, Literally, is not HALF as good as green was.

Not even ****ing CLOSE!!
Sounds like a lot of excuses. Why all the excuses? Take out all the excuses and your alleged "alexcuses" and see what you get....

I see a guy who has won more games throwing half the rate of interceptions to a guy you want to hype up who clearly didn't achieve much.

I think this is more of a knock on the Chiefs organization for not having a franchise quarterback to sustain longer than 5 years. Most quarterbacks averaged 2 or 3 years. It really wouldn't take much for a young quarterback to surpass these numbers and make Chiefs relevant but of course that will never be proved to happen because Chiefs.

I don't know, man. If the Chiefs were to give up the Elite Ball Control that Alex gives us, we might lose some regular season games.
Developing a youngster is messy; let other teams do it and then take their washed-up product for ridiculous pricing!

This is a lie. Montana was never 32nd in the NFL in air yards per attempt.

In 1993 he was 12th in YPC, 8th in adjusted YPA and 5th in net yards gained per pass attempt.

In 2016, Smith was 24th in YPC, 19th in adjust YPA and 15th in net yards gained per pass attempt.

There's absolutely zero comparison to be made here.

You're right, let's take out all of the excuses.

1 playoff win in 4 seasons with Alex.

Unreal.

I know what you mean how can we get by with a quarterback that passes the ball past the first down mark and not flair passes to running backs that get tackled on 3yard gains? If we need 12 yards for a first down on 3rd down bet sure Alex will wind up for an 8 yard pass.

He wasn't as bad as you think. He started 5 games as a rookie in 1969, the season they won the Super Bowl. They won all 5 of those games.

You can't really compare stats from that era. Back then, if a QB passed for 3,000 yards in a season, it was considered awesome. Livingston wasn't horrible. He certainly wasn't great, but he wasn't horrible. After Dawson retired and Livingston took over, he had the bad luck of playing for a team where the stars all got old at the same time and the front office did a horrible job of replenishing the roster.

Edit: Maybe I should have looked at the statistics before I said Livingston wasn't horrible. Those stats are pretty horrible. I retract my claim that he wasn't horrible. I guess I still have a little of that euphoria left over from the 1969 team being Super Bowl champions. It lasts forever.
