Late night bullshit: 1st round picks

This is the franchise we follow.

Since we last drafted a 1st round QB, we've drafted 7 DL, two safeties, four running backs, two tight ends, and an entire OL's worth of tackles. We've also traded our first away three times.

2012: NT
2011: WR
2010: SS
2009: DE
2008: DT & OT
2007: WR
2006: DE
2005: ILB
2004: traded out
2003: RB
2002: DT
2001: traded away
2000: WR
1999: OT
1998: OT
1997: TE
1996: FS
1995: OT
1994: RB
1993: traded away
1992: CB
1991: RB
1990: ILB
1989: OLB
1988: DE
1987: RB
1986: OT
1985: TE
1984: NT
1983: QB

I hate this goddamn team. I ****ing hate them.

The #Chiefs have always tried to duplicate teams. 49ers win...take their QB's. Rams win...take their QB. Patriots win...take their QB.

^^^ THIS IS THE ****ING FRANCHISE WE FOLLOW.

That's why it's bullshit that Dorsey gets to come in here and say, "Regardless of history, I'm going to make the moves I think need to be made..."

Every GM and coach brought in here in the past 30 years has deemed drafting a QB to be a bad idea. For whatever reason. Bad class, bad draft position, prefers veterans, has a guy in mind to run the system...

Sorry if the circumstances this year weren't ideal for you, Dorsey, but when you go to a new franchise, you're inheriting all of their previous successes and failures with you. "Your way" which has been tried thousands of times here is getting old. And very likely when you fail because of it, your credibility will go out the window far quicker than if you had just said, "Holy shit this franchise hasn't drafted a QB in a long time. We need to change that."

I'm hoping the thought process is filled with two options:

A. We think a 2nd round QB is our guy and we know he will be there at 34.

or

B. We don't really like this QB class, but we have a temporary decent starter at QB, while we wait until next year to draft a 1st round QB that we want.

It hasn't actually happened yet. Doesn't mean it won't. But I'll hold my rage until they actually trade for Alex and pass on Geno.

This franchise rests on Branden Albert. If he signs we get Geno. Branden Albert can either set this franchise back 10+ years or he can restore hope at one arrowhead pride. B Albert we need you more than ever right now.
