The Good, The Bad, The Ugly: Week 14

Things that stood out in a quick bundle to me

The Good:

We were in a position to win the game, like we have been for the last 3 weeks of losses.

Alex smith last week, and this week, Looked good in the two drives in the 4th quarter which resulted in fumbles by a TE/WR

Jamall Charles TD/Playmaking ability, Dwayne Bowe's 3rd down conversion.

Defense held Arizona to 17 points.

The Bad

2 weeks in a row, could not score a game winning or game tieing drive. Denver last week, we complete a pass to the 30yard line, just to see it fumbled away with 6 minutes left down by 2 scores.

This week, a drive down by 3 with 3 timeouts, looking to be a lead changing drive, only to be smacked down by another 4th quarter fumble, (Questionable call overturn call)

Alex smith interception, Throwing the ball to a receiver on a 3rd and long, who at best, will only gain 5 yards if he catches the ball.

Receivers getting zero separation, You know its bad when you signed trash like an old Avant off the street that nobody wanted and he becomes arguably your most talented WR on the outside who holds most yards at 64 for the game behind Kelce, and becomes your best blocking WR on the field.

The Ugly
Jamall Charles averaging 9 yards this game, running all over Oakland. 2nd Half, we say F our best player and commit to only passing the ball with plenty of game left. (Jamall 10 carrys all game)

Last drive of the game with a minute left, one of the worst drives ever managed.

OC Play calling, QB decision making last drive of the game, If its not there, don't throw a 8 yard pass when there's 40 seconds left and no timeouts, you just took away 3-4 bombs or deep Number line catches with a 8 yard play that took up 25-30 seconds.

A coach OC/HC needs to tell the QB after this game, if we are ever in a drive like that again, you need to take a chance down the field. Period.

17 points to a team with no running game and a backup QB. Again, whoopty ****ing doo.

Its like some of you celebrate mediocrity. Ridiculous.

Your 4th point thing was good, I'll give you that.
It was hard to find anything to write in the "good section" after a game like this, so I guess that's probably why you don't necessarily "agree" with the options I was left with. But when you do the "good, bad, and ugly" analogy which a lot use in college, that was all I could muster for a game like this.. Putting just one or two things in the good column felt like a lack of trying on my part to recognize anything good in the game.

That being said im not celebrating any mediocrity, as I acknowledge well and easily in the bad and ugly how terrible we played and how its unacceptable.. Don't let the "timbone, reading only the good then going full reerun" make u think otherwise.. I was pointing out in those drives, how alex did look good, and we need a QB to look good In comeback drives. those were two come from behind drives that looked good, and ended with fumbles. That's fact period. Then he looked completely awful the very next drive, in both the Denver and Arizona games which were ALSO come from behind drives, just with more odds against us... I aint saying anything that isn't true I assure you of that.
