FRS/BRZ are a great concept but they pussied the engine. S2000 showed them how to do a small coupe/vert 15 years ago yet they still lag behind.

The tuners prefer the turbo 4 version to modify.

I don't think the bottom end of the v6 can handle forced induction (I could be wrong on this).

I'd seriously consider a Toyota Avalon. They are great cars, and the people who buy them new tend to take great care of them. I see one in Lawrence, KS that's a 2013 with 40k miles for 24k. I actually prefer the previous body style, though.

They have all the amenities, plenty of power, and they run forever. I drive a Lexus LS which is on the Avalon platform, and I love it.

I love my 2006 Scion xB. Only real complaint is that the cabin's a little loud on the highway. Other than that, it will be driven till it DIES.

I've driven a Nissan Altima for the last 6 years and been very happy with it. I do a mix of city and highway driving and get around 33 MPG with the 2.5. I thought I would want the 3.5 but after I drove the 2.5 I was pretty surprised with the power and pick up. Depending on the whistles and bells, a 2014 can be had between $21-24K.

When we test drove the accord we noticed some terrible wind noise driving at highwsy speeds around the windows. Annoying enough that we marked that car right off the list.

With GM's recent woes and missteps I decided to not even test drive one of those. Only test drove a few cars, had a use for a truck and ended up going with that instead.
