Normal game has 12/13 possessions. Chiefs got 7 extra and offense only managed 10 points? That's awful
https://twitter.com/huthutdk/status/781058110542778368

This guy is a ****ing moron. The Chiefs had 9 offensive possessions.

Also, most of the turnovers came when the Chiefs already had a comfortable lead, and were running the clock out. Two of the turnovers were returned for TD's. Should've had 7 more on the board if it weren't for that fluky fumble out the endzone.

Was it a great, or even good offensive perfomance? No, but it wasn't nearly as bad as this biased pillowbitergot wants to pretend. I bet he didn't shit on any of the Broncos wins last year because of their inept offense, especially one they won by 20 ****ing points.

Reid turtled up as he always does in that situation since being with the Chiefs - and won - as he often does when being with the Chiefs.

I hear what you are saying about it not translating to the playoffs. Again, I'm not defending it, but to just look at the numbers as compared to the rest of the league without acknowledging scheme is in my opinion misleading. This is a team that is completely comfortable with taking a marginal lead into the 4th and just turning it over to the D and sending the offense to the proverbial showers. Most other coaches just keep their foot on the pedal until the last few minutes - maybe it's just a style thing, maybe they don't trust their defenses as much as Reid does - or something else entirely. But it exists. Chiefs offense for the most part plays for 3 quarters unless something has gone wrong on D.
I'm not even talking about the 4th quarter.

They had a plethora of good opportunities in the 2nd and 3rd quarter to effectively 3nd the game.

As it went, they were a few fluke plays from having a 1 possession lead in the 4th quarter.

Correct me if I am wrong but we outscored the Jets by 21 points so your assertion we aren't scoring enough, even with the turnovers is just a bunch of blather.

2 of the turnovers led directly to TD's, we scored on 2 possessions after a turnover and Ware fumbled through the end-zone on a 3rd.

Your analysis of football stinks as usual.
I'm sure the defense and special teams will score 2 TDs in every game.

It shows 1.99 points per drive, which puts them at 9th, if I'm reading that right, but I'm not sure if that's what he's talking about.

Honestly, people have been saying this very same thing since the first year Harbaugh and Smith came together in SF. Only then it was after the first few games. SF went 13 and 3. They said it the next year that it was done and they (other teams) would just crush smith and the dink and dunk offense... SF was 6 and 2 when Smith got his concussion. Then when Smith went to the Chiefs, same thing. "League has figured him out." Every year, same thing. And yet they keep winning.

So, exactly where they finished in PPG.

points per drive is a bullshit stat TigerUppercut leans on anyway, because there's literally nothing else that says "the offense is good"

this year we're 22nd BTW

What a stupid ****ing thing to say.

So a fluke fumble in a 20 point victory is the difference between a good offensive performance and a bad one? You kinda just proved my point that it's an overreaction.

If you really feel that way, you are more stupid than I thought.

I guess you can accuse me of cherry picking last year.

This year? Not so much. Every offensive statistic is garbage.

Deal with that reality.

Yea, because the PPG don't completely back up that PPD stat. I guess using PPG is ALSO cherry picking to make the offense look good.

Kill yourself Clay. Seriously.

I've always offered a solution: dump Smith, draft a QB.
