My first thought was, "Well of course he did."
Also, I think this may be possible. In my early 20s I weighed a strapping 140lbs and once put away 34 beers in one day. That day lasted from 10:00am until approximately 2:00am the following morning. I think if we're talking about 24 hours Boggs would have averaged 4 and a half beers per hour. I just can't imagine a human keeping that kind of pace. I want to believe this so bad. So goddamn bad... |

I doubt the 100 beers number but I could see the 60-70.
My best friend can put beer away fast. I've seen him kill 12 packs in under an hour without trying. With the amphetamines that Boggs was probably using back then, I could see him doing it. |

They said the 107 count included the ride to the airport, the flight, the layover, the hotel afterwards, then bar hopping before going to bed. So, let's say he started drinking at 8AM Boston Time, and drank till 3AM California Time the next day. Plus gained 3 hours in time zone changes. So let call that 22 hours of time including the time zone changes. He would have had to consumed five beers an hour, every hour, for 22 straight hours to do that. And that time frame would also include time to piss. In fact, he'd probably have to be drinking while pissing to keep up that pace.

It could be longer if you have to stop and get more beer partway through.
