New Computer Suggestions

My wife's been wanting to get a computer now for awhile so I told her I'd start looking around. I built my desktop and haven't really shopped for a computer in a long time. Any suggestions on something decent out there? I'm not looking top of the line but she'd be looking to play a few games on it. I'm thinking desktop.

To give you an idea, I recently got her PlanetCoaster which she's been playing on my computer. Other types of games she likes: Counterstrike, The Sims, Zelda (on the nintendo, of course).

Thanks for the help.

Also, considering getting something for my grandpa. He's 92 and not technologically savvy but his computer is about 15 years old and slower than dirt. Would basically just need to be able to check email and surf the web so cheap and easy to use is definitely what I'd be looking for.

Yeah, it'd be from scratch, so I'd need all of the above. I was thinking $500 ish since she doesn't play anything too high stress.

Can save 40 by going grey market win 10 pro on the windows key. Some of this stuff includes mail in rebates. Add a 10 dollar keyboard and mouse from goodwill and you have a system capable of playing AAA titles on medium settings in 1080p, plus all the web surfing and shopping her little heart desires~

It's not a hard budget. I could definitely go higher if necessary.
