I'm afraid that .gif is going to go a long way to defining the Weber era in Manhattan. He's the guy you want at your mid-major, not coaching a viable team in a power conference.

He's exactly what the fan base wants. No personality. No ability to win big. Lacks the will/charisma to get players. I was wrong. This won't be a slow decline to mediocrity. This will be a bullet train to the bottom.

Meanwhile your AD will be excited with the "cleanliness" of the program until he gets his next job.

That K-State game was a total screw job. Weber was screaming for a timeout the last five seconds, and the ref just ignored him.

Ummm... the clock wasn't at five seconds. It was closer to two seconds and Rodriguez dribbling to the baseline corner is a fundamental mistake. Bad play, bad coaching.

Fascinating blog by Posnanski. Looks at whether the #1 seeds performance in the first round affects the rest of their tournament. 1 seeds that win their first round game by less than 20 points definitely have less success getting to the Final Four and winning than teams that win by over 20 points.

Even further, only 13 #1 seeds have won their first round game by less than 10 points. Only three of those reached the Final Four. None won the national title. Gonzaga and Kansas are teams 14 and 15. We'll see how they do.

I do for bracket purposes.

But, if KU were to advance I would rather them play Michigan.

Brad Smith was a really nice guys as well. Clarence Gilbert was pretty low-key but cool. Mike Anderson always had a weird aurora about him. He reminded me of the guy from the Jefferson's except stone cold. Quinn came in ONE TIME and I can't remember if he even ate, but I doubt it lol. HUGE coke head. I also was in the terminal at the airport with Pinkel, but he was playing with his granddaughter (as it appeared to be) on his i-pad so I didn't want to bother him. He flew coach though and him and his daughter in-law (again that's who it appeared to be) they even set in separate areas of the plane.
I worked with Marcus King in Dallas. Awesome guy. He said Brad Smith was the guy who studied film or read his Bible 24/7...wouldn't even play Madden when they asked. Marcus was also Michael Huff's step brother.

I never really thought this KU team was destined for a final four like other KU teams anyway. But that's not to say they drew a team that definitely should not have been ranked as a 16 seed. They played a very good team last night and barely won.
