With the DayZ standalone playable alpha release looming, I thought I would check out the mod version of the game. http://dayzdev.tumblr.com/

If you dont know, DayZ is an open world survival zombie game modification based off of the military sim ArmA 2 games. www.dayzmod.com

Basically its hardcore mode survival against zombies and even more dangerous, other players.

I have been watching vids for months and took advantage of a steam sale today to pick up ArmA 2.

Anyone playing DayZ right now? Servers? Thoughts? I have a teamspeak we can use!

yeah, but im learning the map so its not that bad anymore. I found a good place for miltary gear thats not that far of a run

this game has changed no doubt about it. Cold can kill you, I never noticed my guy was freez'ing to death before. I seen a ****ing Bull roaming around. New weapons. I had a electronic caddle prod! I didnt even get to use it

Yeah, still need more zombies, but there is more then there used to be and the they still sometimes warp through doors. Still needs some thing fixed, but its definitely gotten alot better.

Damn, in the update, they said there was new hit detection on zombies. i had a bat, and i couldnt even hit the zombie with it at all. I ended up dying just to test out the new mechanics. It was no mechanics at all. lol

Experimental.

Still major issues with vehicles ATM. If you run over a zombie you will crash, sometimes they can fall through the map etc. Patch in EXP coming today
