Wow, what a ride. I'm as bummed as anyone about the one run loss in game 7. You know what though? This team did more for this city than a World Series could have ever done.
It cemented a community. It's what everyone was talking about.
It created brotherhood. This city was united.
It groomed another generation of baseball fans.
It brought a shut pot of revenue into KC.
It gave us all a month of incredible entertainment.
But best if all, it reconnected a community wit it's home team, the players, the coaches, and the personalities that make them human, and a part of us . We all feel like we've been with them through the grind, the ups, the downs. Dog gone it, we're all exhausted.

Rep to you Kansas City Royals. Hold your heads high. You improved your hometown. I salute you!

You guys were 1 out away with a runner on 3rd to tie against arguably the best postseason pitcher in recent history in the final inning of a WS game 7.

It doesn't get much more positive than that. Someone has to win and it just didn't go the Royal's way, but i'd say there's nothing to complain about.
