Microsoft is believed to be worth 290 billion according to CNN money.

Metro reports Sony is worth around 20 billion. Sony also took massive quarterly losses as a previous post on here indicated.


So no. They couldn't buy anything they wanted in the gaming industry.

Are the "early adopters" here upset about the XBOX One for $400 without the Kinect?

I probably wouldn't have bought one by now anyway, but this makes it more attractive to me. I have no interest in the Kinect.

This is why my interest in games has been wavering lately. I can't stand online gameplay unless it is online coop. I want stories. Games with a heart and soul to them. Everything else is a complete waste of time for me.

I do play what I like. The problem is the devs are taking the easy way out and giving everyone the multplayer shootemups that have no story and no heart. Because this seems to be what the average gamer wants. Those of us that want more are starting to get left behind. People should want more than just mindless online gaming. Or at least they should want more.

yeah, I know... strategy isn't mindless. if you are cunning enough to use strategy and have a group of friends that make it fun for you. I have neither and when I do play online, I am the anchor that holds the team back. I just don't have the time to play online every single night to get good enough to be competitive and helpful.
