Wheel Alignment question
I had a new set of tires put on my 03 PT Cruiser. I also had and alignment done.

Looking over the paperwork, I see that the Cruiser really needed the alignment. But I also noticed that the front drivers side wheel, the Camber reading was still -1.0 degrees after the alignment was done (same as before the alignment). The figure was in red on the chart, but the chart also said that Chrysler did not recommend camber adjusting. I did some research on google, and it looks like you have to buy a "Camber Kit" consisting of special bolts in order to adjust this.

My question is how bad is a -1.0 degree camber setting? The car is driving great (I just had this done today) it seems, but I do not want to waste a good set of new tires by having them wear uneven and having to replace them too early.

Auto experts of CP, what do you think?

Thanks in advice! (And yes, I did change out the blinker fluid)

-1 degree is fine as most are set to that. Toe is what eats up tires.

Just rotate.

Just rotate the tires every 6k and you'll be fine.

Hah. Last year my son graduated and I went looking for a car for him. I wasn't finding anything that would fit him, but while looking for something for him I saw a PT Cruiser with a manual transmission sitting on the lot. So I drove it around a bit and enjoyed the thing. It's basically a subcompact station wagon. I bought it and gave my son the Camry I had been using.
