Was there this many trolls, trolling attempts, etc. back when the great Sanchez debate was going down?

It was different then. It was the "baters" against true fan and regular fan alike. It was a daily all out slobberknocker. Many were trying to rationalize Cassel and defer to Pioli moreso than troll attempts.

Although I hate the Cassel signing more than about anything, I remember looking at the official "we signed Cassel" thread and for some reason, the first reply to it being Hootie simply saying, "You're shitting me" cracks me up.

So some writer for the Broncos is saying on Twitter that the Chiefs are "cool" on Geno (says it could be a smokescreen), and that it depends on what they do with Albert. Says the pick could be Joeckel.

This thread convinced me to finally join. I see some people in here from the days of the old KC Star forums before they made them suck.

37 year-old Chiefs fan living in LA and I have people out here screaming that it would be a waste for the Chiefs to take Geno Smith.

To these people I say, if not him then who? Every other suggestion I can immediately shut down with simple logic.

I love you guys, you are thinking just like I am. Of course I was screaming at the top of my lungs for the Chiefs to select Russell Wilson in the third round last year and then none of this would be a problem but oh no we had to select a ****ing backup tackle instead. Whoopie!

Now some idiots want us to do the same thing again this year. Screw that. Geno Smith. If he fails, he fails. But at least once we have to friggin try.

I am happy with my first post.

By the way he talked in his interview, I think he has a man crush on Alex Smith.

Considering that even the draftniks who don't believe Geno is worth #1.1 agree that he is the clearcut #1 QB... I disagree with you.

So based on all we are hearing, seems the Chiefs are very high on Geno right now. Granted it's before the combine and pro days, but at this point, it seems to all depend on Albert.

If they sign him and aren't high on Geno, I'm really not sure what we do at 1.

It just seems like there is alot of smoke right now about the Chiefs not being interested in Geno.

I know I sure am excited with the prospect of a quarterback taking over the "NEW" Chiefs who has never thrown more than 18 touchdowns in a season. Whoooeee boy now that's excitement! That makes Chiefs fans who were ready to burn down Arrowhead want to renew season tickets I'll tell ya.

I'm of the mind that the 49ers succeeded despite Alex Smith not because of him. Replace him, go to the Superbowl like nothing happened. Yeah that's a real MVP caliber player.

@elevenbravo138 i think QB needy teams will be inclined to jump at "their" guy. Rookie pay structure makes gambling more affordable.

Interesting tweet. Seems the planet has been saying this for a while.
