Hell no, I haven't given up.

The Royals need to win two games in a row, something they've done dozens of times this season. They have the advantage in the starting pitching matchups, in my opinion.

And they are equipped to get very creative in Game 7, should it get to that.

Then there's this... the last 5 times this exact situation has occurred in the World Series, the home team has won 4/5 series.

Still an opportunity to see a parade in KC, boys.

They should base HFA off head to head games. That would definitely help the enthusiasm for the inter-league games.

Then go with more tie breakers.
Run Differential
ERA
BA
Defensive stat
Put then all together into a number. Might see more action at the end of the year to get that number up.

No they shouldn't. What they are doing now with homefield advantage is fine. Basing it on the all-star game is much better than arbitrarily alternating it each year.

Of course the AL runs roughshod over that league every year so the NL would never agree. They have a far better chance of springing a 1-game upset a la Bucknell

And if they just eliminated the insanity of having a different set of rules for each conference/league, it wouldn't be nearly as much of an issue.

Can't imagine the NBA playing the NBA FInals with the 3-point shot in games at Western Conference arenas but not Easter Conference arenas.

Or the NFL playing the Super Bowl with the forward pass when in an AFC city and without it when in an NFC city.

It's just silly.
