The use of vet JAGs blocking us knowing more about younger players is the concern. Owings, Duda, Homer Bailey, Even Maldonado but that one I get a little bit to work with Keller & Junis to help them rise.

If those stop gap guys were producing, I wouldn’t complain. They haven’t given us much of anything that some of our guys in the minors couldn’t do. |

Too many of you guys are expecting the small market Royals to be competitive year in, year out, every game. Nice dream, I get it, the competitive nature in you as a fan.
Reality? It just doesn't happen like this nor has it ever happened to small market teams. Sure some franchises has been on some solid runs for a while, but it doesn't last forever. Once the team starts to lose a little, fans stay home. As the teams loses more, fans really stay home. Fan support lingers and yet all the fans wish to do is bitch and complain. Boy-hooey, doesn't this sound familiar to many here? You want your favorite team to spend millions each year to compete on a competitive level, then you need to open up your wallets, show up every game, sell the stadium out daily. Then the Royals can spend like bigger market teams that draw better, the teams that has a better TV contract, more money to help offset the cost of shelling out millions in contracts to compete each year in & out. And for bringing young kids up for the sake of bringing them up when they are not ready because you're unhappy an aging veteran is sucking now? Now just how stupid is this idea? If a kid is not ready to make that next and final step, why bring him up to fail against better talent? I know a lot of you here are not this stupid! Now, maybe some? Well yes are some! OK, now I have been on here long time, enough time to know those of you that may believe like this and those who don't. Now with this said, I have been "surprised " by a few members whom I expected to have a better vision of these issues facing the Royals.

So who are we gonna trade this year? Is Whit here for good? Will anybody bite on Gordon for a rental if he actually turns it around like he has shown, or would the Royals want to keep him just because he's Gordon?

So I see the Pen blew the game immediately after we took the lead. Again. I can't recall an inning that we scored where we didn't allow the other team to immediately score the following half inning since opening day I think.
