***OFFICIAL TYLER BRAY QBOTF HOPE THREAD***

For all things Tyler Bray since he's already signed. Place to discuss his chances of success, his inevitable success, and his future elite status.

Pros:
Height
Weight
Cannon Arm
Can't Trick Shot
Not a Hippie

Cons:
Maturity (correctable)
Motivation (correctable)
Overconfidence (debatable con)

Final Verdict:
He's Today's Brett Favre at age 21.

Today's Brett Favre as in all his talent and Favre's personality. Favre knows he's accomplished great things and has every reason to be cocky and immature and take pictures of his dong and send them to babes. Except Bray has accomplished nothing and needs to be taught.

Let's Discuss!

I won't entirely accept him until he gets a fisty tattoo over that obnoxious tattoo w/ his name etched onto his skin.

Bray's Cons are certainly more than maturity, motivation, and overconfidence. His biggest weakness is foot placement. This is VERY coachable and can refine his greatest weakness. He doesn't always step into his passes and tends to throw with his feet square and across his body (leading to poor throws and interceptions). I don't see maturity as a big issue, nor do I see motivation given a reality check in the draft. At this time, my opinion is overconfidence on the deep ball (this isn't college ball), foot placement, and checking down to the short to intermediate routes for the higher passing percentage.

if this is closet thing we can get to "drafting our own" QB then Ill take it while these other veteran turds stink up the join for a couple years

trying to follow the knock on him, red flags, or why he is currently in the position hes in is truly an interesting follow.

he obviously should not have been a UDFA, but you know, neither should Arian Foster
This. Though I would probably cheer for Chase, being a Mizzou homer. And it also means Axl went down and I hate his ****ing guts, so there's that.

IMHO confidence is a huge part of being an NFL QB. If you don't think you can make the difficult throws you're Blaine Gabbert. I for one, think his confidence in himself is a Pro. Regardless if it's over.

I don't know what to think about all of this - so i'm just going to smoke this blunt and not worry about it. This draft wigged me out a little.

The new Gino Smith has arrived in KC. (ChiefsPlanet Illuminati)

Would love to see him evolve into KC's UNDRAFTED franchise QB. But I'm not sure it's possible as many here have pointed out that Andy Reid & John Dorsey are idiots. Should we expect idiots to manage Bray's evolution into a franchise QB?

It's a con when your deep target is double teamed by the safety and CB. You don't have to force the ball through a very tight window unless it's the final seconds of a close game. Checking down to the 15 yard route still nets you a first down and keeps our defense off the field.

im pretty sure most the Geno ballwashers bashed every other QB in the draft especially Bray the last how many months, so it will be funny to watch them homers flip flop now

that Jags fan caught so much shit for liking Bray the last 6 months by Geno fans. And there were some on here that predicted the bizarro world of us A) not getting Geno and B) somehow ending up with Bray just to piss that Jags fan off, and here we are in real time lol

ill play devils advocate here

what is the true con? BOTH his WRs went in the FIRST AND SECOND round of the draft. So, with that said, is he forcing passes to these guys for the sake of forcing passes because of who they are? How many other QBs in this draft had two WRs taken that high. Probably Geno was the closest with Austin in the 1st and Bailey in the what? 3rd or 4th?

Those WRs were well sought out by scouts and NFL teams. So the question is, did those WRs put Bray in a productive position of good stats or did he, Bray, put those WRs on the map.
