Nope, no dice. I led the bidding for about 6 hours.

I threw literally every FA dollar I had left at him - led for about 2 hours.

I was hoping his lousy week last week would suppress the bidding - it has not.

Well especially not now that he just traded him for Sam Shields and a 3rd.

He snagged Rodgers, a 1st and 2 starting CBs today. Not a bad overhaul at all.

Granted, giving up Luck had to hurt, especially with that long-term contract, but he's been awfully excited about the way his WRs and RBs have played this season and was looking to compete immediately.

I gotta admit, if he's not a favorite at this point, he's up there.

Yeah, that's me he traded with. When I posted that, he hadn't accepted the trade yet. I hated giving up Shields, but he needed a CB and I litterally had no starting QB on my roster.

So maybe the $30 I budgeted for him isn't going to get it done?

That's disappointing...

Thanks, Zeke. I have taken over your team, so you should be off the hook.

That's why I was really glad to get Tony Gonzalez relatively cheap.
