Chiefs focused on Mahomes, McCaffrey, and Cunningham in RD1

SEE POST #11 FIRST

... the word in the Chiefs building is that they would like to trade up for QB Patrick Mahomes or RB Christian McCaffrey in the first round. If this falls through, he said they like ILB Zach Cunningham a lot as well.

I bet Dorsey sees Cunningham as a Bernardrick McKinney type.

Not sold on Mahomes. At all.

Cunningham is a high energy, athletic LB that doesn't lack effort and fills a need. Would rather, admittedly biased, have Jarrad Davis.
agree, doubt davis is still there at 27 but ya never know. ILB is a spot that just seems to slip in the 1st for more glamorous positions.

FTR I'd probably take Davis over Cunningham

Zach Cunningham is a need pick. I can think of 5 players off the top of my head that would be far better picks.

He's not a first rd player

Cunningham has amazing range for an ILB and would be a nice replacement for DJ. One gripe I have with him is that he seems to arm tackle way too much. The same thing we have complained about Ramik for

Mark these 3 off the list of players the Chiefs will actually end up with.

Nobody said they were looking at Cunningham in the 1st round.

maybe Cuningham is the trade down target

No he isn't but he's one of the reasons Andy calls so many. Weak arm and can't see wide open playmakers behind the defense for scores. Alex is that limited and has been proven to be over and over again on game tape break downs.

I don't see Mahomes dropping to #27 but I'll be ecstatic if they manage to grab him. Guy has potential out the ass and could see him being Steve Young after 2-3 years of experience.
