That was great coaching.

#29. I guess they didn't want to starting ejecting players since it was the SB. LOL I bet there are some fines handed down before it's all said and done.

You see Ed Hochuli anywhere near this game?

Me neither.

The NFL wants players making big plays in this game and not controversial decisions...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Holding Call= Safety with a lot of time ran off

It was great coaching. John told his guys to hold because it would run more time off the clock the longer the punter had the ball. If a hold was called, it's a safety anyway.

I am amazed that a lot of people don't understand this concept.

Oh yeah. KEEP THE DELICIOUS TEARS COMING!

This...plus the runoff.

It was a smart play...

I don't believe it would have been a time runoff in that situation, since they were ahead. Could be wrong though.

Did anyone else think that the Ravens might just let the Niners score there at the end...so their offense could get the ball back with enough time for a drive?

No time runoff, just additional time to run around.

Nearly eveyone in this thread thought they should let the 9ers score.

superbowl ratings

Quote:
CBS Sports has released very preliminary numbers that say Super Bowl XLVII could be the most-watched game in history.

Sunday’s telecast of the Baltimore Ravens vs. San Francisco 49ers game had an overnight rating/share of 48.1/71 in metered markets.

That’s up 1 percent from last year’s N.Y. Giants vs. New England game, which was the most-watched game ever.
