Sorry, back to SKC..... I like the team, don't like the shade of blue they picked. I hate Carolina blue, I was born in Virginia!

It's not Carolina blue, though. It's darker than that.

Perhaps the fact that I only got the ****ing 8-color box of non-crayola crayons is showing... Did you know there are colors called "cornflower blue" and "burnt cyan"? **** me!!!! Anyway, it's close enough to Carolina blue to have me SQUEEEEEEEEEEEZE into my 1974 Juve jersey if I go to a SKC match..

No way I'd let folks back in Virginia see me in a color "that close" lest I want to be drown in the waters off Va. Beach... Perhaps they'd just do the deed in the waters of Lake Gaston and let my dead carcass (heavy on the 'ass') float into the shitville state of North Carolina...

I definitely had the 128-color box of Crayola crayons. My whole color spectrum is based on that. I once described the yeast stripe on a particular glazed donut as being Ictarine colored.

I remember being the first kid in my 2nd grade class to have the 96-pack of Crayolas (not that Roseart bullshit) with the CRAYON SHARPENER on the back. Hot shit, my friends.

JFC, I had to Google THAT color... Not many returns I might add! For those of us who had parents who hated us, that's just yellow! You shoulda returned the donut, I'd question the donut chef and I'll bet it wasn't a guy!

I hated you.. You got all the chicks, and the pussy, and the art teacher thought you were "creative" and knew how to blend colors...

I yearn for that donut like nothing else in my life. It came from this little place (closed ten years ago) in Excelsior Springs, MO called Gaylord's Donuts. It was a totally unique glazed donut. I miss it so much.

Never went there, but, I think......, one of my back-then interns brought some of their donuts to the office. I know the girl was from ES (my son used to wrestle against her younger brother!), and she said they had a shop that put Lamar's to shame (not difficult IMO). And yes, they were awesome...

So kc gets a wcq as expected. Looking forward to seeing some of you out there so we can either drink and say we knew they'd easily make it the whole time or depressingly cry.

Big game tonight.

The MLS has deteriorated with it's physical play... The defenders can do anything they want inside the box to the upper body and get away with it... body checking, tackling, holding... it's just ridiculous. Especially on set pieces or plays with the ball in the air. And on the flip side if an offensive player even tries to "fight them off" they are called for a foul. Give me a break.

Cut that type of thuggery play out and the game will become more exciting with more goals, which the US fans on the fence would enjoy.

That's a problem not unique to mls.

And I think we've gotten beyond the point where we need to talk about changing the game to make people here like it. When they did try that it was arguably the lowest point of the league. Soccer is doing just fine.

I would much rather watch a Euro game than an MLS game (sporting excluded) when they are on TV. Much more fluid movement with the ball, enjoyable to watch. MLS the defenders can get away with murder, which to me uglies the game tremendously.
