Zack Snyder to direct next Superman film

http://heatvision.hollywoodreporter....medium=twitter

Nolan and Zack Snyder, definitely an interesting team. There are already rumors now that Zod is going to be the villain.

I have to say I'm excited that it "appears" they aren't going to go totally out of left field and do something stupid and out of character for Superman.

Lets hope this is a huge success (I'm hoping its really good and if it is I'm hoping it makes over a billion dollars).

And in the sequel I hope we get Lex Luthor. I wonder who should play him. There are a few actors I have in mind but not quite sure. I'd go with someone relatively young.

The tracking is projecting a 90 to 100 million opening. If its good ( word is that its fantastic) it should have no problems making 300 to 400 million I would guess.

It's already made $170 million in product placement and promotional support. A sequel is all but guaranteed.

Why Lex Luthor? We've seen him a million ****ing times, time to dig deep in the Superman mythology and grab a real sinister mother****er. If Lex is an ancillary character then sure, but if he is the main villain again...

I agree with Dub G. Going the Lex route all but guarantees that they'll have to use kryptonite. I think that's lame so I wouldn't mind seeing someone else. Maybe Brainiac? Darkseid? I don't know any other Superman villains.

True but I just really like the character. Not sure who I would cast though. Leonardo Dicaprio would be dope but no way in hell would he ever agree to be in a comic book film.

And yeah I dont really want him to be the main bad guy, I just want him in the movie cause he's one of my favorite comic book characters.

Luthor is too much a part of the mythos to not show up at some point.

I just hope we get Braniac on screen eventually.

I love Lex Luther, would prefer if it was the quasi evil one like on smallville compared to the dumb cheesy Kevin Spacey one

I would love to see a Luther taken seriously in the movies for a change. He was comic relief in all the movies. Hell, Spacey was the closest to somewhat evil.

A Luther like Eastons portrayal in Smallville would be great.

Yea, unfortunately it looks like most IMAX releases are 3D as well these days. I love IMAX, but hate 3D.

Here's a miscellaneous Superman question, how does Supes cut his hair or shave since he's virtually indestructible and has been through the sun's core without burning his hair off.
