Lots of good suggestions in this thread - Corner, You Say Tomato, Westport Café, Happy Gillis, YJ's.
I don't think anyone has thrown out Genessee Royale yet. Californo's in Westport is one of my favorites. Good combination of breakfast/lunch items and while everyone is standing in line at Corner, my group is getting seated immediately.

Oh yes, Happy Gillis. It's just a little old dive of a bistro, but their breakfast sandwich is legit...

The wait for the Corner isn't longer than 15 mins and we'll worth it.

If all else fails, Crackerbarrell, IHOP, Shoneys. Or on a Saturday Morning go see if there is a Farmers Benefit Pancake breakfast in a small town in the KC area somewhere out in the boonies. The farming community provides good quality food, usually straight from their farms and they can cook!

For a chain restaurant, First Watch is really good.

I'm a fan of First Watch. Solid breakfast and good pancakes. Real healthy options too if that's your thing.

Considering there are threads about Hardees and BK's mac and cheese filled Cheetos, a sandwich that's mostly eggs with a slice of cheese and a couple slices of bacon seems like an odd choice to bring out the artery argument.
But then again, "Merica likely has the least healthy popular breakfast items in the world.

The strawberry next to that sandwich (which does looks excellent) was funny to me. |
