Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

Alex ****ing Smith has done nothing but piss himself on the field for 8 seasons. That playoff win was a fluke, and everyone will realize it after this season is over.

The best veteran option out there. Seems like teams want vets and sit these QBs

That playoff win wasn't a fluke, he drove the 49ers down twice IIRC when that vaunted D couldn't seal stop the saints

Too bad. I guess I'm spoiled having so many beat writers. You'd think that the Chiefs would have at least one or two. It's not like the team doesn't have a legit history.

A fluke is something that only happens once out of a great many chances.

Alex Smith has started lots of games and that's pretty much the only game he ever played that well.

Remember, fewer 300-yard games than Casshole.

JFC. You don't have to have 300 yard passing games, when you control the game. Kaepernick had how many 300 yard games last year clay?

That's right, ONE. It was the super bowl, where because of the huge deficit we had to throw the ball. 300 yard games when you have the best run blocking line in football, and a team that prides itself on the run game, is the cause for the lack of 300 yard games. Even in alex smiths, LONE 300 yard game last year, we still ran for 300 yards. Stats don't mean shit when you are just running out the clock in the second half. Oh, and by the way, in that same season, where alex brought the niners back TWICE, he also had 6 come from behind victories, one against the lions where he threw a td to win that game at the end. So, know what you are talking about, and tell the truth. For once in your pathetic existence.

You do recall correctly. He also had 6 come from behind victories that season as well.

He doesn't have to throw for 300 yards, nor will Kaepernick, because with the 49ers defense, and run game, you don't have to throw it all over........

That fact eludes Clay. He doesn't know what its like to be up on a team in the second half and not have to throw the ball all over.

It's not about one year. It's about HIS WHOLE CAREER.

Eight years.

A grand total of THREE 300-yard games.

Do you think that's an accident?

Cassel is laughing.

Steve Bono does. 13-3 baby!

Your point is 100 percent moot, because the rest of the 49ers aren't coming with Alex.

Joe Flacco had seven games of 299 yards or better last season.

Matt Ryan had nine.

Don't tell me it's not important.

The Broncos had the #2 defense, even BETTER than San Fran.

Peyton Manning had NINE 300-yard games.

Don't tell me it's not important.

You'll take your 170 yards and be damned happy with it!!!

How many 300 yard games does Carson Palmer have that was gotten for a conditional 2014 7th rounder

I'd take 170 yards and a win over 300 yards and a loss.
