Mock (3/7/13)
Assumptions:
1. The Chiefs let Dorsey walk. 2. Cassel is cut. Tyson Jackson stays on board, at reduced salary. 3. The Chiefs land CB Sean Smith. 4. They get one compensatory pick, an extra third (Carr). 5. The Chiefs try furiously to trade down, but there are no takers. 1. DE Sharrif Floyd, Florida Powerful and lightning off the snap, Floyd will spend his rookie season developing a passrush and racking up tackles by the dozen. 3. QB Ryan Nassib, Syracuse Probably my second favorite prospect at the position this year. 3. ILB Kiko Alonso, Oregon An unathletic but instinctive plodder from the Ducks. 4. OT Chris Faulk, LSU An outstanding RT prospect coming off an injury. Will compete with Donald Stephenson for starting RT. 5. RB Christine Michael, Texas A&M Adding another guy to the stable. 6. OLB Quanterus Smith, Western Kentucky Total sack artist, recovering from injury. There's no way he falls this far, right? 7. ILB Dwayne Beckford, Purdue Talented guy, but total ****ing headcase. Why not. |

Looks like the 2006 draft to me. One really nice player, a 3rd round developmental QB, and a whole bunch of crap.
I'm not even saying this to impugn your picks; I just feel like the total haul is somewhat underwhelming.

Impugn away; that's what this exercise is for, anyway.

I'd rather look for one of the falling WR's in the 3rd. Since I hate Nassib, I'd look there.

We're gonna get at least 1 TE somewhere. I think we'll get one in the draft. They've had a hard on for Nick Kasa as of late.

I'd rather have Star than Floyd. He and Poe in 2-4-5 sets would be a nightmare in the middle.
I also doubt Nassib is there in the 3rd. I like the Alonso pick though.

Nassib won't fall past the 2nd round.
