Shane Ray arrested for marijuana possession

Shane Ray arrested for marijuana possession, according to report
By David Fucillo  @NinersNation on Apr 27, 2015, 4:53p 45

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports
The Missouri pass rusher picked a stupid time to be caught with weed.

The 2015 NFL Draft is three short days away, and one player's stock might have taken a hit. A Missouri radio host came across this online arrest report for the Missouri Highway Patrol. According to the report, Shane Ray was arrested for possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana, as well as failing to "drive in the right lane of the highway with two or more lanes."

I don't really care if a football player wants to smoke marijuana. However, when you are a few days away from potentially the biggest moment of your young life, wouldn't you try and avoid these kinds of things? I don't think it necessarily says anything about his character, but it does come across as pretty stupid to get arrested so close to the draft.

Ray already had some question marks when he was not cleared for the Combine due to a toe injury. Teams knew about this, so I don't know how much it would have impacted his draft stock. However, combine that with this arrest, and one has to wonder if it will be enough to drop him out of the first round. All it takes is one person wanting him to stop a slide, but I just don't know. Sometimes you just can't cure stupid.

Oh he'll be there.

Petro went over ESPN's official mock draft today and Ray didn't get picked in the 1st round.

That was BEFORE his arrest...

Chiefs fans don't want any part of this POS.

Kansas has the most great players of any team ever to have an all time conference record of 35-104.

If he was driving in the left lane and holding up traffic he should be executed, or forced to play in Oakland or Cleveland.

Mizzou has 16 SEC wins in 3 seasons. We're going to have more SEC victories and more Big 12 victories than Kansas has Big 12 victories soon.
