CIA says Russia interfered in elections to help elect Trump

Quote:
The CIA has concluded that Russia intervened in the 2016 election specifically to help Donald Trump win the presidency, a U.S. official has confirmed to NPR.

"Before, there was confidence about the fact that Russia interfered," the official says. "But there was low confidence on what the direction and intentionality of the interference was. Now they (the CIA) have come to the conclusion that Russia was trying to tip the election to Trump."
http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-w...to-elect-trump

Quote:
On Friday evening, the Trump transition team fired back with a statement dismissing the report of the agency's conclusion.

"These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction," the statement said. "The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history. It's now time to move on and 'Make America Great Again.' "

In fact, Trump's percentage of the electoral vote in the 2016 election ranks 46th among presidential election winners in U.S. history

Why can't the liberals put as much effort into finding jobs as they do into trying to still win this election?

Clearly they were aided/assisted/supported by, and used, the the Clinton Foundation in the nefarious scheme.

It's been confirmed by 47 groups!

What does 100% unproven mean? It can't possibly mean that we have zero evidence, because that's clearly not the case.

The larger question, if this turns out to be true, is what is their motivation in wanting to see a Trump presidency?

Hillary openly questioned the validity of the Russian election when Putin was reelected. Basically insinuated it was rigged by Putin.

He ****ing hates Hillary.

Its really that simple.

Is it okay that Russia hacked us specifically to influence the outcome of the election? NO. Letting them get away with that sets a VERY bad precedent.
Please do tell what you would expect us to do then?

You cant prove it affected the outcome, we aren't having another election etc..

So whats your big plan?

I think it's pretty obvious the Russians hacked the emails. But "I think" that the Russians felt she was going to win and these were leaked to simply embarrass her administration. Especially after the sanctions after Crimea.

Did these emails influence some folks to vote for Trump? Probably.

Is that interference in an election? Maybe.

Was it a different maker? No.

Clinton was a worse candidate to the voters in the swing states. You don't get to be POTUS just because "it's your turn".

It's not a bad thing to investigate the hacking or "influencing" the election. Learn to not leave your shit out there to be stolen next time.

We never needed the Russians to hack us in the past.

NASA, CIA, and the state Dept were all hacked by teenagers.

Not Russian teenagers, just teenagers.

Her emails and the DNC emails were on private servers. Not top notch government servers (which we already know have been hacked by bored teens.)

Hell, if teens can do it I'd bet Russia has hacked damned near every network we have.

The difference being Russia wouldn't expose it if they did, they'd just quietly keep doing it...

The election is over and Trump won. The contents of the messages are less important now. The messenger, however, is important given that it was a rival power acting in pursuit of their own interests, not yours or mine or our country's.
