Andy runs the team. He has say in pretty much everything that goes on, including personnel decisions. That's how Veach ended up as GM and Dorsey ended up in Cleveland.

Which I would prefer to have Lucas over Parker, regardless.

Then we can say that Lucas is young and inexperienced, yada, yada, yada, etc.

Parker, on the other hand... he's been in the NFL for quite some time, and he's still making errors like this.

Edit: There is a reason why he got cut by Atlanta, a safety starved team.

That's the point of most of the discussion in this thread, really.

The defense looked serviceable the past several weeks but against all the likely playoff teams we've played this year, they have been clowned. Probably not going to make a deep playoff run when you have to ask so much of your offense every week.

He's not good. You can't tell me Lucas is any worse and he was nowhere to be seen tonight.

Sutton just keeps doing the same thing over and over again. That final drive tonight looked almost exactly like the final drive at NE.

Sutton is just not good. The talent in the secondary is awful.

I say change both at the end of the year. I keep Fuller (he did not suck in Washington), replace the rest of talent in the secondary (including Berry if he does not get back on the field this year) and get a new DC.

The window is open now, but is going to start closing rapidly as Mahomes rookie deal passes and we have to re-sign our existing talent.

Drastic changes need to be done next year on the defensive side of the ball.

Do you think the Rams are asking themselves that? Or the Chargers? Or Steelers?

ALL of the contending teams have the same problem. This is an offense-driven league now.

Exactly. Offense has to play perfect to win against playoff teams but we can't expect that every week.

The secondary is amazing. Sorensen is such a great player and Nelson/Scandrick are #1 corners

Yup next season the Chiefs will have the cap room to fix the D but unfortunately Dorsey left us with cap hell

Rams got two stops after the two minute warning, so probably not.

It is an offense-driven league, yes. But both defenses had opportunities to get stops inside the last two minutes to win the game. The Rams did it twice. The Chiefs shit the bed.

All contending teams have the same problem, but we have it to a much worse degree.

Anyone else kinda miss defense in the NFL? I mean watching all the TDs and big plays is fun and of course I'm thrilled we are one of the teams that has one of those offenses. But its kind of absurd to a degree...

We’re arguijg about the defense in a game where the offense turned it over 5 times, twice leading directly to points and once putting them basically in field goal range.

And the d forced two turnovers and scored once themselves

This isn’t the old nfl. You guys need to realize yards don’t matter. Turnovers for a defense is what it is
