As if this week wasn’t crazy enough for the Zobrist family, Ben and Julianna welcomed a new addition to their family Friday.

And what did the family decide to name their newborn baby girl?

Blaise Royal Zobrist, of course.

“What do you name a little girl that so politely waited for the World Series to be won by her daddy?” Julianna posted on her Facebook account. “Then so sweetly thanked 800,000 fans at a parade, and the next day hung on while her family packed up and moved back home to Nashville? And then, in a brilliant finish, came to meet the world and say hello the day her mommy's new single "Alive" is released? You call her a miracle. Or, we call her BLAISE ROYAL ZOBRIST.”

Can we insert a Johnny Gomes mic drop here?

Julianna announced the birth of Blaise Friday morning, along with an adorable photo of the little one.

“In true GIRL fashion, allow new baby Zobrist to go ahead and one up everything that has happened this week!” Julianna wrote.

You may remember a time just a few weeks ago when Royals fans were worried Ben, an infielder for the team, would have to miss part of the World Series for the birth of his child.
At the time, Julianna joked that if Ben did miss the baby’s birth, he better at least hit a home run.

When Games 4 and 5 rolled around, Ben even flew Julianna, along with her doctor and their two kids, to New York.

I hope we sign Zobrist long term. He is such a gamer and a damn good baseball player and was really a quiet unsung hero in so many ways during this past post season not to mention during the season. Soooooo consistent.
