We took a direct hit in Charlie and that storm had cat 5 winds. It moved too quick to build a surge but sustained 130 kt winds with tornadoes scattered in is completely jacked up.

It's going to go up because Houston's major refineries were shut down amid flooding and were not yet considered safe. That affects supply which naturally drives up costs.

I thought that one was a cat 4 with 150 mph winds at peak.

We just got some of the weakening winds and the rain. The winds made for great boogie boarding the following few days later.

yes, but it should be no surprise that it's also up 50 cents in Florida ahead of a major storm and on the heels of major travel holiday

Yeah , Charlie wasn't a big storm but it was powerful and organized and if I'm not mistaken it was later reclassified as a 5.
