It's time we ban pitbulls
Enough is enough. These dogs are way too strong & unpredictable. Plus, they are normally owned by the wrong people. Deadly combo right there.

This latest pitbull attack is absolutely heartbreaking.

A 14-month-old Wisconsin boy has died after a brutal attack by a pair of pit bulls, authorities said on Thursday.
Police received a call from Susan Iwicki, 30, on Wednesday saying that she and the young boy were being attacked by the dogs, according to local NBC affiliate WMTV. Iwicki told police that she and the boy had each sustained injuries.

The boy died of his injuries at a Milwaukee area hospital later on Wednesday, the Walworth County sheriff’s office said, according to The Associated Press.
The boy had the “biggest eyes, great smile,” family friend Valerie Brylow told local affiliate WTMJ. “He was a great little boy.”
“He is adorable, absolutely adorable,” Nicole Jennison, another family friend told the station.
The boy’s name has not been released, and an investigation continues. Both of the pit bulls were removed from the property and euthanized on Wednesday, WMTV reported.
The fatal dog attack was the first in Wisconsin in a decade, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

APBT are obviously part of the terrier family, when their blood lines are clean and not distorted by inbreeding they hold true to the terrier name, in the sense that they are very smart. I showed miniature schnauzers at a high level for many years. I love dogs and love training them, after my last schnauzer died, I purchased an American Pitbull Terrier, 8 months ago I purchased another one. My older female Akiela is trained exceptionally well. I can control her from 50 yards away with hand gestures only. If I go anywhere she is attached to my hip. If she gets skiddish from her surroundings I can re-focus her with one snap of my finger. I have dozens of pictures with her with all my nieces and nephews tugging on her ears and using her as a jungle gym, she does not care in the least, and when they are in the yard she will go with them and protect them. I have been asked by Petsmart to bring my dog in to show what training does, and they have been awesome in allowing animal shelters to bring dogs in to try and foster them to customers in the store.

Regardless of your opinion the fact that they are an awesome animal cannot be denied.

As far as I know, they are banned down here.
Its a shame that responsible owners cant have them because of all of the nitwits who dont understand what will happen if you teach these dogs to be aggressive.
I think people should have to pass some kind of test to own them. They are that dangerous if handled incorrectly.
