Anybody play the Tropico 3 demo? I saw it on the marketplace and downloaded it. Pretty sweet, you get to play as a dictator over a tropical island.

Well, I've finally joined the next gen club after eeking out every last bit from my old Xbox and PS2. Girlfriend came home with an Elite as a Christmas present (sorry Tiny, I wasn't opposed to the PS3 in any form but the girl did bring back a game console. Can't complain about that.)

I imagine once I power through my bullshit management finals and sales presentations large chunks of my life will be stolen by FIFA 10 and Mass Effect 2. I'll upload my live account name when I get it up and running towards the end of the month.

Bought L4D2 at Gamestop. They were running a special which was $20 off.

So, far so good. It is leaps and bounds better than the first. And I really liked the first.

Christmas for me. I'm surprised that the standard price pretty much everywhere is $40, the game hasn't even been out a month.

What are the major improvements over the first? I've only played L4D a bit but I was a big fan.

I've only played through the first 3 stages in one of the chapters. It feels more fluid to me. I also love the dialogue in this one moreso than the first. They also have like, a laser eye you can put on any weapon -- it's supposed to increase accuracy. They've also got more, better weapons, IMO.

The Campaigns are a lot better as well... more varied and more difficult
