Who is the biggest Homer on Chiefsplanet?

So, we all know that CP leans toward negativity and has no problem criticizing the Chiefs organization. It's been stated many times that there is no point in rival fans bashing the Chiefs, because we do a fine job of that on our own.

That being said, even this site has its homers. So, who are the blind supporters of the Chiefs? Who defends them even when there's nothing to defend?

I've come up with three names that have stuck out to me over my short two year existence. These are probably weak names, but I haven't been here very long, so cut me some ****ing slack.

The three I noticed are Marcellus, Dane (although I saw him give up hope last week), and Big Meatball Dave. I believe he was BCD and Big Chief Dave prior to that.

Who am I missing? Call out the homers!

Also, Homers of other teams on the board. We know that Rustshack fella would blow the entire starting lineup of Iowa State if they'd have him. Let's call our those dudes as well.

I don't have a problem with it except you spelled my name wrong.

I don't think there is anything wrong with being positive about your team. In fact, the word "fan" comes from "fanatic". IRL most fans are homers, you just can't tell from CP which is overrun by negative people.

I was at work doing system updates yesterday and missed the entire 4th quarter except for the Kelce "fumble" which I just happened to catch, so I missed the last drive completely. It was a frustrating game and I don't like a lot of things I saw. But I am a fan and I refuse to wallow in misery and whine like a crybaby. I have no problem if you want to do it though.

I will still hope for a win each week. It is in my blood. I have been a fan for almost 50 years, and I'm 53, so basically as long as I can remember.

I have an acquaintance who is a Raiders fan. A friend of a Facebook friend so I sometimes see his posts. They have won two ****ing games and he is strutting like they won the SB. THAT is a homer.

None taken, although I'd question you're reasoning. I wonder what horrors lurk in your past that keep you this optimistic about the Chiefs.

Yeah, there's a difference.

I'm not optimistic at all (in the short term) but I just refuse to give up on them.

I think it's far more likely I'll be 75 and still not watched a playoff win. I just can't quit them...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

You represent the majority. I still don't get the thought process of the "die hards", (regardless of situation or team affiliation)

the thing is homers will still blame the refs for almost every loss if the team is around .500

conspiracy against my beloved chiefs! league keeping us down!

it takes a 2-14 season for them to learn

Everything about this season screamed failure before it even began.

The fans don't demand a champion. They want their BBQ, beer, parking lot fun, and to be entertained for a while.

Actually winning is just a bonus...

What's odd is the The Chiefs have had 2-14 seasons, (2008 & 2012) and it hasn't effected most CP homers, including Splatbass.

They also seem to hate the "How shady is the NFL" thread.

It's an utter and complete denial of anything being wrong with the Chiefs at any time in history. Fascinating...

It's "doublethink."

Chiefs fans have perfected doublethink...
