ESPN 30 for 30 films

So, I'm the proud owner of Volume 1, which is the first fifteen movies. Just got done watching the third one. Some things I've learned...

1. Wayne Gretzky really was hockey.
2. The Baltimore Colts Band won me over. I may adopt the Ravens as my second team (but never when they play the Chiefs).
3. Donald Trump killed the USFL the day he bought a team. I never even knew about it. I think it would have had staying power.

Anyone watched all of them?

Yessir. Almost make Netflix worth it by themselves.

I only saw about 3 episodes available when I scanned tonight.

I ended up watching The Marinovich Project. Extremely well done.

Also, I've seen most of the listed ones above, but any other must sees?

Lawrence Phillips: a life wasted

Ryan Leaf vs Peyton Manning.

Would watch!

It's kind of sad to see how cowed Norwood remains. Maybe it's his innate personality, but he seems to be perpetually on the verge of uncontrollable tears. I half suspect someone has a kitten ready to punt with all their might just off camera.

I like the Birth of Big Air one about Mat Hoffman. The Bo Jackson one and the I hate Christian Laettner one were pretty good too.

What's really crazy to me is that it wasn't close to a chip shot. Was a pretty long field goal attempt for a kicker who didn't have much range.

The entire collection is available for around $120 on Amazon.

I didn't realize there were over 100 episodes. I may get it. I'm gonna see exactly how many are available on Netflix tonight. It seems like a nice collection to have either way. Lots of good history for the youngster to look in to, when he hits the sports age.

A ton available on Netflix that you don't need to buy the set. What's not available, dvr it.

When you need a fix, go to 30 for 30 shorts online. Also terrific. My favorite is the story of Mackey Sasser, the catcher who had the yips throwing balls back to the pitcher.
