Life Impulse purchases. - Page 2

What is your biggest impulse purchase whether in the past, or maybe something you are thinking about purchasing now? I made a few impulses purchases before I was married (xbox 360, smith&wesson 9mm), but I find it almost impossible to do that now. I don't want to use money for something we want, and then end up regretting that decision when a need comes up and I don't have the money for it.

My current desire, is a 1985 Buick LeSabre Collector's edition, I have had a bunch of these cars since my high school years, for some reason I have always liked them. Anyways, I found one exactly like the one I had in high school and I want to pull the trigger on it, but at $2500, I don't want to let the money go. I watch shows like Street Outlaws, and dag gone do those guys lay some coin out for/into their cars. I just cant convince myself enough to do it. I like to think about it for a while, and then I move on to something else lol.

I am grateful for being broke. I never have buyers remorse because my debit card always gets declined.

Apricot was fantastic, but I also have a strong regard for deep sea blue.

On another note, I was in a parking lot the other day and put the top down. It's a hardtop so it does all sorts of interesting machinations when the top goes down. When I finished, a reasonably attractive woman who had (unknown to me) been standing nearby came over and said, "I just have to point out how cool that was."

So to answer the age-old question, a cool car does indeed get you attention from chicks.

I'm not a materialistic person and am prone to experiencing buyer's remorse so impulse buys are not my thing. If I walk out of a store with something, I've thought buying it prior to that day.

I think it depends on what kind of cool car. If it's kind of unique and recognizable, then yeah, you'll get attention. If you have a Corvette, you'll get attention from women. If you have a Cadillac ATS-V or a BMW M7, women won't recognize the coolness. In your case, a small roadster has the unique look that trigger women's interest.

I would agree, and don't understand why anyone would ever buy a Cadillac ATS-V or BMW M7.

About 11 years ago, in anticipation of good Chiefs season, I spent about $8000 on a 50 inch Philips plasma. Industry mags and media had predicted only a 10% annual reduction in price, so what the heck... I still use it, but the wife's Panasonic 50 was only $600 a couple of years ago and is much lighter.
