Ticket Buying Advice

Ok! So our flights/hotel are booked, we're coming to Kansas City!

It will be 5 of us (the wife and I, three kids (17/13/12) and we're flying in on Saturday, September 30th and flying home Wednesday, October 4th.

The plan is to catch the last regular season game for the Royals against Arizona on Sunday the 1st, and then to do the MNF game against the Redskins the next day.

For both the baseball and football game, where would you buy the tickets from and when would you buy them? In other words, would you get them on the secondary market? Wait until the game? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

For the Royals game just show up and buy them at the stadium. For the Chiefs game, try NFL Ticket Exchange.

Got my tickets for both the Royals and Chiefs. SO FREAKING PUMPED to see the Chiefs on MNF at Arrowhead for the first time ever.

And we moved hotels. We were by the Speedway, but I happened upon a deal at the Adam's Mark and took that instead so we can walk to both games.

Any other advice? Eats? Gotta show these California kiddos some legit BBQ.

If you're staying at the Adam's Mark across I-70 from the stadiums, the closest BBQ is Gates and Sons on US 40 Highway.

For other foods you can go east into Independence, past Noland out to where the Independence Center Shopping Center, and Silverstein Hockey Arena is, there's a bunch of different restaurants out there, plus shopping if your wife wants to shop.

Adams Mark has an indoor pool. A couple years ago a couple of kids shot a couple other kids in there, so just be careful. The walk is a pretty good hike. Might check with the hotel to see if they have a shuttle to the games.

FYP... They have a complete indoor waterpark called Co Co Keys. Slides, lazy river, giant bucket dumping water, adult hot tub, bar, etc... If you're bringing kids, they'll love it.

NFL Ticket exchange, at NFL.COM.... don't mess with the others. JMHO

Buy direct from the Royals for those, unless you want nice seats...in which case I'm pretty sure there is an MLB equivalent.
