The "Whacko Neighbors" Thread

Don't know if this has been done before as the search feature tis no more. How about we lay all of our neighborly issues out on the planet and let the judge and jury decide what you should do the next time you and "the neighbors" are face to face across the street.
----------------------------------------------------------
Moved into a new neighborhood last June and I wouldn't say we were "welcomed" per se...no fresh baked pies, knock on the door & a handshake. Kind of expected though being where we are in society.

"The neighbors" across the street, late 30s couple (same as us) with a 3yr old daughter (we have a 3yr old daughter and a 1 yr old son). I've had a couple conversations with the guy and seems ok, known as the neighborhood drinker/partier....cool by me. The wife has a slight lisp which may contribute to the following: my wife has tried multiple times to strike up conversation with her being that they are both stay at home moms, to no avail. The wife actively straight up ignores her in common one-on-one situations. My wife will say "hi" she'll turn around and go inside.

"Different strokes for different folks" is what my grandma would always say.
"Sometimes you don't want to know people any more than a simple neighborly acknowledgment and should consider it a blessing"

I guess I could call them a neighbor but really had no communication with them. They were about 8 house down on the corner of our street. But man they spiraled into the weird on us. It started maybe 6 years ago the old couple an old jarhead retired and moved to sunny Fla fla. He had a giant flgpole with old glory then the corps flag below then pow mia. That was pretty nice then the gays moved in. Up went old glory in rainbow colors and rainbow ribbon tape around the pole. It got a lot of comments from visiting friend but the couples or whatever living there were quiet so had no problems.
Well that ended this winter things got crazy. They started having problems with the policeman next to them as he killed 2 deer and hung and de hided them in the tree in his front yard. The old elderly German lady across street who has kept her property immaculate started complaining on the KCMO 311 page about not mowing lawn. This went downhill fast. It started with multi colored spray paint on front house and windows and on one side. They would come out at night and paint each night a little more. I would drive by on way to work do see more and more till whole front of house and side was covered in multi colored spray pant. they hay had a new 2014 or so car one morning woke to it painted like the house and parked in the German lady yard but in city row. Then the contents of the house started appearing out on the lawn scatters everywhere. this went on for quite a spell then spring it came to a head. Everyone was calling the City taking pics but apparently was nothing wrong with it. Then they broke bottles and dishes and spread them on the driveway and walks and in the yard. The policeman would file reports on line to KCMO and leave his police email addy. He would plead with the city to contact the owner or the mortgage holder. Well April came and boom sheriff was there they got the boot. People came cleaned op the outside mowed. They painted the house on a Sunday and we are back to normal for now. Crazy damn thing. Dont Piss Off the Gays.

My neighbors had goats.

Used to jump the fence and eat all my shit in the yard.

Come in for breakfast and there's the ****ing goat standing on the window sill outside the kitchen.

Nice people, but who has goats as a goddamn pet?

My street is pretty decent, no real party animals on the street, pretty much all families with kids or older folks whose kids have grown up. Having a deputy living on the street discourages the malcontents away as well

Bob Dole's neighbor had one until someone turned them in. They blamed Bob Dole, but it wasn't Bob Dole.

I've lived at my apartment complex for 2 years and have only had issues a couple times. Most everyone is pretty cool and quiet, except the unit who I share a bedroom wall with used to have late night (3am) sex-capades and were maybe the loudest ****ers ever. I don't care if you have some late night fun, but for the love of God scream into a pillow.

The neighbors below me are really bothering me now. A few months back they all of a sudden had 2 dogs, a pomeranian kind of lap dog and a husky. They kept these dogs on their balcony (2nd floor) 24 hrs a day for a week straight. There was pee and poop everywhere, and the dogs tore up every screen they could get to. It was pretty cold at night then too which wouldn't bother the husky as much as the little lap dog. Eventually the dogs we're gone, but now over the weekend the lap dog is back, except its now on the balcony locked in a little crate. I noticed it Saturday and it's been out there since. I called animal control to check it out so hopefully something happens. I ****ing hate people who mistreat animals or children.

The only neighbor I've had who was much trouble was the dumb woman next door who went nuts after my landscaper cut down a dead, rotting and termite-infested tree on my property. Because I cut it down, there was increased exposure from car headlights towards/into her house.

What part of MY property did she not understand?

What part of dead, termite-infested, and gonna-fall-down-soon-anyway, did she not understand?

I never met her or talked to her, but I was friendly enough with her husband. Never spoke with him again after that. Moved away a couple years later, so whatever, but damn, what a flake.

You'll be okay as long as you don't wear a stocking cap, shorts, and a tank top, in the middle of summer. Can't stand kids that do that. It's 95 degrees outside, you don't look cool.
