Your favorite kind of fruit

I love summer because all the fruits are fresh and ripe. I love most fruits, but especially like pineapple, strawberries, and peaches. Picked up some Chilton County peaches over the weekend, so damn good. Pineapple - especially in Hawaii, I could live on that stuff.

Do you do anything to spruce up your favorite fruits or eat them raw? If you do something to enhance, what do you do?

Oh yes, ruby red grapefruit. Great for regularity! Better than pruuuuunes!

Love fruit, but why does it seem the better food is for you, the more a pain in the ass [and labor and expense] it is to maintain.

I could live on a diet of fruits and salads with maybe a beef or chicken item a week, and be much happier with my diet.

I'd also be spending half my day at the market 3x a week, and throwing half my purchases away every fortnight or so.

I LOVE steel cut oats with any kind of fruit and some nuts...nutmeg, cinnamon, top with some maple syrup (real) then eat with half-n'-half!

Craisins, a dried fruit, goes well in that too.

I have a two farmer's market two blocks from my house. I am there a lot and buy fresh fruit in smaller quantities.

Other produce deteriorates quickly too.

I can eat every single fruit in the world including Durian, but my favorite fruit of all time is a Red Delicious Apple in perfect fall season ice cold in the fridge. I love the snap and crispness of them and the flavor.

Apples and Pears are best in early fall. Oranges grow year round.

Of course summer has so much great fruit; peaches, plums, nectarines, grapes, cherries, kiwis, watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and pineapple for sure. How can you not like those?

Do they make seedless blackberries? I like the flavor and use them in smoothies where my Vitamix destroys the seeds.

Apples, makes a great late night snack, smear with peanut butter, plow, and go to bed. I like other fruit but you asked for favorite and they last for a good time without going bad.
