Who sues the NFL or the Rams if Sams is cut?

You know its going to happen. If they cut him someone including MU fans will be grabbing their Rainbow tourches and firing up a lawsuit.

So who do you think will sue first? And where will ESPN fall into all of this? Will ESPN weep or call for an recount? Will they remove shower cam?

inquiring minds what to know....

It's hilarious how much people are harping for this guy when, in reality, he's a mediocre talent, at best, who is a one-trick pony.
There's a ton of history on one trick pony's in the NFL at every position, might want to hold your judgement back on the kid because he's not going to clear waivers, someone is going to pick him up and give him a shot. His "cut" might be just what he needs to become that special teams beast to stay on an active roster and work his way into the rotation. Its not like we haven't seen that before.

The problem with Sam is that his one trick isn't very good. He's 6'2", has less than 34" arms, is 261 pounds, runs in the 4.9 range, and isn't strong at all.

He is too stiff and slow to play LB, so any team that runs a 3-4 is out for him.

Too small to play DE on almost any team unless they run a wide-9 look, and he's too slow and lacks the explosion to be considered for that.

He's too slow to contribute in kick coverage on special teams.

If you watch him play, he looks like a DT in the body of a LB. That's just not going to cut it in the NFL at his size. Even the worst starting RT in the league would manhandle Sam in pass protection.

At worst he's a psquad guy, but I really, really think if he somehow gets cut, he's going to be converted to a 3-4 base thumper and see probably 35-40% of the snaps while he works on becoming a special teamer.

For some reason Sam Reminds me of Jovan Belcher, a guy who I loved (on the field). Didn't have measurables, but had intangibles, and he played with a lot of heart and just plugged away at the game. Personally, I just never saw Sam as a "Pass Rush" guy, even when he was in college. He looked like a run stopper either in a 4-3 DE mold or a 3-4 thumper.

That being said, back to the Rams for a second.

If I'm their Front Office and just had my Franchise QB go down for the year before its even started, and I know I'm on borrowed time, I'm going to cut the roster down to 54 people today, and leave that one last spot a question mark until the last minute, and I"m not cutting Sam. I'm going to make it very public through social media that Sam was still safe when everyone went to bed tonight, and have the fans biting nails waiting to see who that 53rd man is.

From there, I wait until the last minute tomorrow and announce that Sam has made the team as the 53rd man, and then throughout the year as things progress, I start a small fandom movement called "the 53rd man", with the emphasis of a man beating the odds as a 7th round draft pick and working his way up in the world.

The fans will eat that shit up for months and maintain ticket sales and prices until the team hits their 6th loss.
You misread my post.

Granted its pre-season and we all know the Sippio rule, but I've got faith the kid's going to make a roster and eventually be a full time starter for quite some time if he avoids injury.
That's the sense I get. If he were really as flawed as his measurables and scouting report indicate, he would have totally fizzled out this preseason. Instead, he played very well and just barely missed the final roster. I think he'll have a career somewhere. I dunno about scheme fit or whatever, but I'd love to have him in KC. Nobody else in the league is going to fight harder to prove himself.

So many gay innuendos.

Wonder how this will affect his Oprah special seeing how he just wants to be treated like everyone else.
