Zack Snyder to direct next Superman film

http://heatvision.hollywoodreporter....medium=twitter

Nolan and Zack Snyder, definitely an interesting team. There are already rumors now that Zod is going to be the villain.

I have to say I'm excited that it "appears" they aren't going to go totally out of left field and do something stupid and out of character for Superman.

Also, "Soundtrack" refers to songs that have licensed and appear throughout the film.

Sometimes, the released soundtracks include music that wasn't even heard in the movie but are in the "spirit" of the film (In other words, an easy way to promote and expose "baby bands" that are "forced" upon the film makers by the studio in order to earn more money for their music division).

"Score" is the accurate term to describe the music composed specifically for the film. On this case, John Williams composed the score for Superman.

While you are correct, I doubt anyone here didn't know I was referring to Williams' score.

It was just a "general" post and I didn't identify anyone specifically.

The word "Soundtrack" has been improperly categorized in this forum for years.

IMO, Superman 1 and 2 are the holy grail of superhero movies, only The Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises come close or equals it.

Michael Shannon was amazing in The Boardwalk Empire. Whoever cast him as Zod is very good at their job, IMO.

Yeah Shannon is the man and one of the best actors working today. Have you seen Take Shelter or Bug? Both great performances

Also he was well deserving of an Oscar nom for his role in Revolutionary Road.

I hope its better than Superman Returns, that was terribly cast. Brandon Routh had the look of Superman but is a terrible actor and couldn't pull it off. this one at least looks better with Michael Shannon in it.

Reviews are embargoed until the 10th of June, but a few positive reactions have slipped out.
