I keep looking at the talent right now, have been for about three months.

And I honestly think the talent is at its best at OL towards the end of the 1st round.

Andy Reid needs to replace Albert, and there's no guarantee he has faith in Fisher. And Asamoah has almost certainly left, so we'll be in the hunt for a guard as well.

This is a team looking to get away from Pioli's smaller, nimble OL, and towards Reid's larger, more powerful OL.

Maybe we bring back Schwartz at guard. Maybe not.

God. This franchise has conditioned me to prepare for the worst.

If he is not capable of playing in a phone booth (guard), than how can he play outside in the nfl?

I think another part of his problem is that Allen, Asamoah, and Hudson were drafted for the ZBS. They were drafted for their quickness.

Reid instituted a man heavy scheme. When the line switched back to a ZBS midway though the season, than the line improved.

Chiefs get: No. 16

Cowboys get: 1st, 4th and 2nd 6th (200) from KC

Xavier sua'Filo now guaranteed to be a Chief in that mock.

I will also be mocking the best available OL or DL to the Chiefs with every pick in that draft.

Allen has always had a very good attitude towards the game.

I think he got caught in-between a scheme change and tried to do the quickest thing possible in an attempt to be effective in Reid's offensive plan, which was to gain weight to be more productive in a power type scheme.

Allen has the tools and the attitude. Let's see if a year in the system and a full off-season of knowing what he needs to do allows him to be more effective as a player.

I think that the offensive line is going to surprise people this coming season.

That's fantastic news. It makes me think that the Chiefs really aren't too incredibly concerned with the RG spot, and that Rishaw Johnson will be the starter next year.

I know that Jeff Linkenbach came so cheaply that they could possibly have brought him aboard as competition for Johnson at the backup, while the high pick G takes the starter spot, but I just can't buy that Dorsey is as thick-headed as Andy Reid is when it comes to the offensive line.

Dorsey has tried to fix the Packers' tackle situation with first rounders in Bulaga and Sherrod in consecutive years. He's rotated in veterans that were long ago acquired by the team (TJ Lang, Jason Spitz, Josh Sitton) with young players acquired through the middle rounds of the draft (Evan Dietrich-Smith, Marshall Newhouse). Two of those depth players (Lang, Dietrich-Smith) were promoted to starter after Dorsey left and played phenomenally.

Dorsey has final say. I have a hard time thinking he'll go guard. I don't think he will.
