I don't care if the QB can sling it, a program like KSU NEEDS the threat of a running QB.

Snyder is pulling a Ron Prince.

For the most part, he sucked. Sams had 2 carries. Inexcusable.

I would argue it was Arthur Brown, but you've got the right idea. [I don't mean this as a slight to CK, but] Klein brought incredible leadership and toughnesss with not a lot of talent (in terms of being a "prototypical" QB, at least). I can see the offense being OK if they can adjust to a QB with a different skill set (or just put freaking Sams in).

Brown, on the other hand, was an amazing LB and the leader of this defense. Based on the above post, that leadership hasn't been replaced and neither has the talent.

I know it's early, but I'm starting to have 2004 flashbacks. I really hope I'm wrong....

Why would someone's mother be in Kansas States locker room after the game?

Sorry.

I got to go to a lot of games during the true golden years in the late 90's while I was in school.

Didn't matter last night, there was nowhere to run. Our very solid running back was stymied all game. The Oline was unable to get any push, and this team misses Braden Wilson. Waters looks like a guy that can be a reasonable threat on the ground, at least getting what is blocked. He's more athletic than some other QB's we've had as run/pass threats. But when you don't open any holes, and the other team repeatedly gets penetration, you aren't going to run the ball.

This oline group had a good start to the season last year, but the second half of the season wasn't as positive. Looks like it's carried into this season.
