Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

Kaepernick was drafted #36 overall dipshit. That's not a gem in the rough, that's a valuable pick. And it's telling that it was used with Smith on the roster....

Alex Smith is a better QB and has atleast won a playoff game and had his team within a game of the super bowl. Whats Palmer accomplished?

Yeah, I just think Manuel has a higher upside than you do I guess. He's going to need some work on his motion, it's a little mechanical at this point.

And also always follow the money. A starting QB in the NFL for $7.5 million a year for two years is cheap.
I tend to agree with you I think we have a window right now and getting a solid vet in will get this team rolling faster then a rookie also the 34th is to much for him so we have to get more than just Smith but I say this believing if we don't draft a QB to develop behind him we are fooling ourselves that this will end differently then years past

Honestly, I am kind of jealous of you for this. I mean it too. I wish I was in denial about our QB situation like you are. I would sleep better.

I think whats more likely to happen is we swap from 1 to 4 with the Eagles, for Foles and maybe a second rounder.

it's a gem in the rough dipshit. 49ers fans called the pick stupid, and a waste of a pick. If you'd go to that MB once in a while you'd know that. Not even the media gave the guy a chance to be a franchise QB because he ran a "gimmick" offense. So before you go calling people names, dipshit, maybe you'll read more next time.

Sunshine and Rainbows you got Alex Smith!

It's much more than that. He can't read a defense, he holds the ball too long, and he collapses under pressure. If you hit him he shrinks, forces balls, is inaccurate, etc. He doesn't have the mental makeup to be QB AND he lacks the accuracy/mechanics.

Hey, I'm not saying that the Raiders roster isn't full of glaring needs. Believe, me I'm well aware. Over the next few years McKenzie is going to fix that. The only problem I have with Palmer is his out of whack contract and the cap space it eats up. Since his job is not to catch passes that hit him RIGHT ON THE CHEST or to play defense, it's difficult for me to throw him under the bus.

All that tells us is that 49ers fans are stupid. You're further confirmation.
