Does anyone here roll their own cigarettes?

I am just getting into it and it's costing me about $15.00/carton to make my own.

If you do roll your own (RYO) what brand tubes and tobacco do you prefer? What have you tried?

I have a top-o-matic cigarette roller. I am currently smoking Gambler Menthol tobacco with Gambler FF (full flavor) tubes. I have also tried Top menthol tubes and FF tubes.

Not sure where you are, but every tobacconist I've visited would let you sample the tobaccos free of charge. They know you're going to buy a few ounces anyway, so it's no problem to let you sample.
The main issue is I am buying it in bags like so:

so they won't really let you sample the tobacco. You just have to hit or miss. Luckily it's only about 6 dollars for 6 oz of tobacco so there isn't much monetary waste involved.

I did. I quit like 10 years ago, though. I wasn't a pack a day smoker or anything. Generally smoked with my coffee, while drinking beer, and during a break from work. Probably 10 cigarettes max a day.

In college, we had a roller at our house and bought filters, but most of us still preferred to roll by hand.

Gotcha. I definitely don't have the patience or skill to roll by hand. I can see where it would be interesting as recreational thing though. You can experiment with a lot of different tobaccos by hand rolling. There are only certain tobaccos that can be put through my injector to avoid clogging the machine.

If you get good at hand rolling, it's pretty quick. I could roll a cigarette in about 30 seconds.

Edit: Actually probably less. More like 15 seconds.

Jesus, that's faster than I can do it with a machine.... See lacking skills. I need to find a legit tobacco shop that sells a wide variety of tobaccos and such. The places I go to are basically head shops with a hookahs and the flavored tobacco for them, bowls, bongs, lotto and 3 or four different types of tobacco. Not exactly the tobacco connoisseur's daily shop.

I use McClintock tobacco and tubes, or Premier tubes.
