I'm just glad we are back to rational threads and discussion on the 49ers board. You will be too once Alex and his Acolytes are gone.

Smith was a young project QB who was bad on bad teams. So it wasn't a surprise he didn't win any high scoring games in years 1 or 2.
Remember when you wanted to pick him up for the Chiefs?

And how many less Super Bowl wins do those 3 teams have if you replaced them with Smith?

Dude, he went 1-4 last year.

He is what he is. A guy who is supported by the team around him. That's the only way he can win. Those guys are worth their weight in celery.

Kaep came into a magnificent supporting cast after sitting and watching. Someone has to tell you this distinction?

So if he is what he is, then Reid will figure it out and go a different route. Whoopity-doo? Who cares? Smith will either be a product of the Chiefs' offensive talent (which is shit beyond JC) and get shit-canned in 2015... or he will play well and get a new contract in KC.

I'll enjoy the ride whichever way it goes.

Just shut up. The extreme is typically from the ignorant.
I have watched and read tons of info. Posted it at various places.
I used reason to conclude Smith wasn't trash to throw out and there was some upside.

When I didn't have info to support this I was OK if the 49ers drafted Sanchez in 2009.

The failed attempt to get Kurt Warner was an obvious upgrade.

After all the wacky journey I never even claimed Smith was a top 10 QB. Still is not a great QB.
The hate and venom has always been about the other side.
This is the internet. Ignoring lies and misinformation doesn't work. It would be the only thing online and read.

I know better than to get involved in this shit fest but this post just takes the cake.

ALL OFFSEASON, ALL WE'VE HEARD is "9-0. He just wins."

So the answer to your ****ing question is ABSO-****ING-LUTELY.

Unless of course it doesn't fit the "Alex is God" agenda all of the sudden, apparently.

No one is saying he's a God, he's a perservering, mentally sound game manager who can turn on afterburners and be clutch. If the D is dominating, he avoids mistakes that detract from their accomplishments. And if the D falls apart he can start slinging and make things happen. Just don't fall to Vermiel era suckitude which takes Green or Warner. They never really had to be at least when playing at Championship levels as a team, but I have doubts that Montana, Brady or Rogers can be that clutch. Peyton certainly can't in the playoffs. Probably just Norm Van Brocklin and Brees outside the two above really.

Alex Smith was not clutch for the Chiefs last year. Maybe in one game. He had EXACTLY one game winning drive.

Also, if the D is dominating, we could lose in the AFC Championship game.

That's the best that he's shown he can do.

I'll enjoy the ride until it's time to bandwagon onto Alice's next team and annoy their fans.
