With a burgeoning Kelce on the roster, using a first rounder on another stretch tight end would be redundant.
For what the Chiefs need, I think Heuerman is the better option. He's more athletic than Williams and is a much better blocker. As I stated, people forgot about Heuerman because Ohio State kept him in as a blocker all year. And he excelled in that role. Absolutely destroyed defensive linemen. As stated, he was a main key to why the Buckeyes won that National Championship. However, prior to the 2014 season, he was lined up all over the field to take advantage of the physical mismatch that he is. Now, one can make the case that with Bailey, Armstead is also redundant, but I think he gives the Chiefs a high ceiling player that would allow them to run their base set more often than what we saw in 2014. (Provided that we upgrade the ILB position with something more than the tomato cans thrown onto the field last season.) Armstead has the potential to bookend Bailey and give the Chiefs an upfield push from that end of the line versus rolling out converted tackles like Vickerson, Walker and Howard. |

Cameron Erving looks like a fantastic OL who fits. Jalen Collins looks like a fantastic CB prospect that we look for (elite 3 cone as well as length and speed). I think Devin Smith will be available and he seems to fit according to former Reid scout Daniel Jeremiah. CB is the dark horse IMO. With Poe coming up, I can see them preparing to move on from Sean Smith, and you can never have enough CB's.

I'm really not very thrilled about Armstead in round 1. I think you can get the exact same player, if not a better pass rusher, in Henry Anderson in round 3.
The player I'm leaning towards mocking to KC if I choose not to put a receiver there is CB Kevin Johnson of Wake Forest. He's a perfect Bob Sutton type of corner and he could be a replacement to Sean Smith next season. My problem with Jake Fisher is holding. That kid holds far too much because he gets beat on the edge too much. If he can learn to reign that it, then he could be very solid. Other than the top 2 picks, I'm okay with the rest, although I don't think Rowe has the feet in transition to play CB in the pros. |

I am super high on jake fisher. He can play either tackle, imo. I just prefer the versatility of Collins and Erving. I do think fisher would be good value in round 2 and ridiculous value in round 3, which is where I have seen him projected most.

Glaring Combine snub Zach Vigil had his pro day yesterday:

RB Joe Hill, 5'11", 190 lb., ran a blistering 4.26 40. OT Kevin Whimpey, 6'5", 295 lb., had 39 reps on the bench and was pissed. He was aiming for 45 to 50, which he's done before. Punter Jaron Bentrude, 6'1", ran a 4.61 40 and had a 36.5" vertical. Last edited by Saccopoo; 03-07-2015 at 12:29 PM.. |

Lol, a guy named Whimpey going for nearly 40 reps. Funny stuff.
Vigil has really grown on me. Came in at 6'2" 236 btw. |

I think he's one of, if not the best ILB in the draft. He's got a real knack for making the impact play when it needs to be made - and he makes a lot of them. Running a 4.6 and hitting the bench for 26 reps helped him a ton in terms of moving him up the board. |

If we are taking a WR in the 2nd round, I'd take Agholor over Devin Smith.

Its amazing that two highly productive LBs were not invited to the combine, tackling machines the both of them.
