The problem with Florida is that it's becoming more of a bitch to land the top tier of talent in the state and the program will be itching to fire your ass if you don't have them in the playoffs in a couple years. Miami back on the high end, Florida St still in that mix and hell even FAU is gaining a little traction until Kiffin leaves. That's before mentioning other schools raiding the state harder than ever.
That's before mentioning that they will make you keep Randy Shannon, which is the main reason why Chip told them to kick rocks. If I am Frost, I'd be trying to angle for the Tennessee job. Same easy division, can recruit well there, more realistic expectations and they are able to pay him and his staff well. |

It's pretty bad when Iowa State gives you shit.

****ing Kiffin is taking a dopey team in a dopey conference that went 3-9 for three straight seasons, to a bowl game in his first season, yet KU is 3-33 under David Beatty. Pathetic. |

I don't think even Lane Kiffin would be a bad hire for a Nebraska, if they can't land Frost. He could get people excited about Nebraska Football again. |

Great post and good perspective, especially about the Chiefs fans/Midwest point. Most Nebraska fans I know are around my age - reared during the unprecedented success of the 90s - and pretty impatient/entitled. I think there's a decent segment of that group that won't be satisfied with anything but a return to being a top 10 program. Makes me wonder how patient the general fan base would be with Frost. Frost turned down Florida and TO asked him to come home.
Billay is weeping tears of joy. |

Nebraska is going to have to wait until the 1st or 2nd week of January to get him, and if Frost wants to bail before the bowl game he can.... But the view of him will be tainted in Orlando.
