Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

I don't think I misunderstood him and think he meant in the first.

Made it a point to hammer home that Reid isn't done at quarterback.
But therein lies the problem; finding a willing trade partner.

I'd love to see KC trade down to say 14th or 16th, get a 2nd and a 2014 4th or 5th.

I'd also love to have $50,000 in cash delivered to my house every Friday.

Don't see either happening soon though.

Stanzi will have a legit chance at starting this season.

Said he got very depressed when he found out he got traded.

"I don't think he got a fair chance but he's getting that now."

of course Vernon Davis loved Alex Smith because all Alex Smith does IS CHECK DOWN TO THE TE so Vernon Davis had padded stats and always got the ball from Smith

Colin Kaepernick actually goes through WR progressions and that leaves less of the pie for Vernon Davis.

Just look at the drop in Davis's numbers from the beginning to the end of the season and that alone proves

so no shit he loves Alex Smith, I'm really glad Tony Moeki is going to put up 800 yards in checkdowns while our WRs have about 1300 yards to split between them. wonderful

I'm more amazed that somebody's favorite player is Alex Smith. That just blows my mind.

It's not that we don't like it. It's that it is an extreme longshot.
