Porcello walked one and struck out two on the night. Coming into the game after two consecutive shutouts, the Rays came out swinging as they put up three runs in the first inning and refused to let up on the gas. Up as part of the final vote for the 2014 All-Star game, Porcello will carry an 11-5 record, 3.61 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 64/25 K/BB ratio into his final start of the season’s first half when he takes on the Royals in Kansas City on Friday. Anibal Sanchez was knocked around for seven earned runs in 5 2/3 innings Saturday in a loss to the Rays.

Sanchez was doing fine until the top of the fifth inning, when the Rays rattled off three runs. They then poured on four more in the top of the sixth. Sanchez watched his ERA jump from 2.63 to 3.18. He will try to bounce back next week against the Royals. Jul 5 - 7:19 PM

Sanchez has always dominated the Royals. I think I'd be more interested in going to the Saturday matchup.

Duffy has been pretty good against the Tigers for as good as their lineup is.
